I'm beginning to sense a pattern here... This Monday, March 7th, is our monthly club meeting of the board and members. It will begin at 6:00 pm with the board meeting. Once that has been concluded it will be followed no later than 7:00 pm by the members meeting. Competition season is almost on us, our first ATA event is going to be held April 9th and we still need volunteers to help out with the scheduled events, (schedule to be posted soon or you can find it at the ATA site). So if you can, please be at the meeting and bring your ideas, willingness to volunteer, potential candidates for hire, donuts, etc. Finally, these club meetings are held according to our by-laws, once a month, every month on the first Monday of the month. In case you want to book those dates in advance, just trying to be helpful here...
It's that time again! On February 1st, 2016 there will be a board meeting starting at 6:00 PM. Following that, around 7:00 PM, there will be a member meeting. At the end of the member meeting we will be holding elections for a number of positions at the club. This is the most important meeting for us as members and if you can attend please be there. And just a reminder to those of you who enjoy procrastination, there aren't many days left until the end of the month and that is when your annual dues must be payed in full. If you miss that date you'll have to go through all the paper work, the hazing, the odd looks from others who have already paid up. It can get uncomfortable and even cause such emotional stress that you can't shoot at the highest levels we all know you can. Why take a chance? Again, please make every effort to be at this meeting.
It is a given that clay target enthusiasts are of above average intelligence, have more common sense than most folks, appreciate the joys of living an efficient life not to mention generally being very good looking. With that in mind it was obvious that most of us have no need to mingle amongst those grasping for supposed deals at the malls, get stuck in traffic jams just to get to the next store or to even visit relatives we have no wish to actually see. We have already prepared for the upcoming seasons festivities and now need something to do with all of our spare time. Well give one more Thanks on Thursday the 26th because the next day we will be open from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM, Come join us for a chaos free day of crushing those little orange targets. And we would also like to mention that when you arrive if you are not a club member but are an active ATA member show your card and you will receive a discount on the rounds you shoot. This goes not only for Friday, November 27th but for ANY day we are open.
